Over the years, Dyneema has been developed with ever higher specifications, better performance and of course higher prices. First of all SK75, then came SK78 and some lines even use SK99. Very high break loads and elasticity lower than a steel cable. However, as this trend has developed the amount of applications that require such high performance has proportionally reduced and the percentage of users who can justify the expense is very low.

Gleistein and their Dyneema supplier, DSM Dyneema B.V. have developed a new line with Dyneema® 07. High performance, low elasticity and a competitive price! Gleistein Megatwin 07 has a break load 30% lower than lines with Dyneema® SK87 but still 50% greater then the very best polyester line, Gleistein Cup, and more than required by even the most demanding cruising sailor.

Gleistein MegaTwin 07 has a 12 strand braided core of Dyneema® 07 fibres.  An intermediate cover of polyester staple fibre which avoids slipping between the core and cover and an outer cover of 24 or 32 strand high tenacity polyester which provides fantastic abrasion resistance and excellent performance in stoppers and clutches.

An all round high performance line for the cruising yachtsman. Ideal for halyards, sheets, guys & downhauls.
