West System 500 Series Pigment
West System 500 series is a pigment/resin paste mix used to tint epoxy. Ideal for providing an even, color base in preparation for the final finish system. Colored surfaces also highlight flaws and imperfections for easy filling and fairing. West System pigments are suspended in an epoxy resin base which allows them to blend thoroughly into the epoxy to make very uniform colors.
Cured, pigmented epoxy surfaces are not a final finish surface, but require an additional paint or UV filter coating for ultraviolet protection. However for interior use (not exposed to UV) West System 501 can provide a durable white translucent finish coat. Multiple coats will be required to achieve an opaque finish.
Add 3-5% by weight to the resin/hardener mix.
Supplied in 125 g containers. Available in white, black and grey.
