Air-X & Air Breeze Stop Switch
Replacement 50 amp “break then make” stop switch recommended for installation of the Southwest Windpower Air X and Air Breeze wind generators. A stop switch provides a convenient method for shutting down your wind generator from a remote loaction or inside the boat.
A “break then make” switch first disconnects the battery and then shorts the turbine output wires together causing the turbine to stop spinning (in high winds the blades may spin slowly). Shorting the turbine does not cause any damage or additional wear on the unit. The stop switch should not be left in the middle, open circuit position for more than a short period to prevent damage to the generator.
