Solara M-Series Semi Flexible Marine Solar Panels
The Solara M-Series marine solar panels.
Building on 20 years success with the original series, Solara has redesigned the M-Series for higher performance and a significant weight reduction without sacrificing the ruggedness and reliability which have made the panels among the most popular in the world.
As used aboard KingFisher and many other boats in world class events. The M-Series were specially developed for marine use not only on yachts but on buoys, life-rafts and marine industrial applications, they can definitely be considered tried and tested.

Thin, lightweight and rugged semi flexible marine solar panels.
The new M-series have an ultra-thin aluminium sandwich backing plate which as well as being very strong and flexible up to 3%, is also much lighter than the stainless steel plate used previously. A Nowoflon protective film coating on the front and back and sealed on the sides completely encapsulates the panel making them extremely rugged and if installed on a solid surface can be walked on without fear of damage. The aluminium sandwich backing plate helps to dissipate heat and provides up to 50% weight saving compared to the previous design.
Maximum power with up to 43 cells.
The new M-Series feature from 36 to 43 (depending on the model) crystalline high performance cells ensuring maximum daily power output and incredible low-light performance even under cloudy and partially shaded conditions.
Easy installation & zero maintenance
The new Solara M-Series feature a very low profile waterproof junction box with 3 metres of cable. The panels feature a window adjacent to the junction box which can be drilled out. The cable is then passed through this hole and below decks beneath the panel. The panel is then installed over the hole in the deck and a water resistant cable gland is created as well as a very neat and profesional installation. Drill holes are also marked for installation screws. to avoid hotspots on the panel, all panels are provided with a cell protector for installation below decks. Solara M-series panels can simply be screwed or glued onto solid surfaces allowing easy and low cost installation.

Due to their rugged design and textured surface, we recommend the Solara M-Series for deck and coach house installations. They industry standard voltage output allows them to be used with almost all the regulators we offer.
