Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) - produces up to 30% more power compared to a PWM controller and up to 10% more power compared to slower MPPT controllers especially during cloudy days and fast changing conditions, when light intensity is changing continuously.
Intelligent Battery Management - When a solar charge controller is not able to recharge the battery to its full capacity, the result is often that the battery will be cycled between a partially charged state and the discharged state. This mode of operation (no regular full recharge) is detrimental to lead acid batteries and over time can cause damage. The BatteryLife algorithm helps to solve this problem when used with a load connected through the controller. It will monitor the state of charge of the battery and day by day slightly increase the load disconnect level until absorption voltage is reached. From that point onwards the load disconnect level will be modulated so that absorption voltage is reached about once every week. The MPPT 70/15 can also be set to follow the traditional load control mode with a fixed disconnect voltage The load output is short circuit proof and can supply capacitive loads such as an inverter.
