Icom IC-M510 EVO Marine VHF
The latest generation of the award winning IC-M510 Marine fixed-mount VHF. The new IC-M510 EVO now features radio control & intercom via your smartphone as well as built-in NMEA 2000, a powerful 25W loud two-way hailer (PA), foghorn functions, optional Command Mic as well as many other features.
Radio control & intercom via an APP on your smartphone
Use the iOS™ RS-M500 or Android™ RS-M500 app to remotely control the IC-M510 EVO through your onboard wifi network. Up to three smart devices can be used as a wireless microphone or remote controller or a substitute for the supplied microphone or optional CommandMic. You can make calls while working inside the vessel or checking the surroundings on deck. An intercom function between your smart device and the radio is also built in.
Built-in NMEA 2000 & NMEA0183HS
The NMEA 2000 network provides plug-and-play data communication to inter-connect with other marine equipment such as an MFD (Multi-Function Display.) The radio can send GNSS (GPS) position, DSC call, and radio channel data to other equipment.
Integrated AIS Receiver (IC-M510 EVO AIS Only)
With the integrated AIS receiver, the IC-M510 EVO AIS can show real-time AIS vessel traffic information on the display. You can directly make an individual DSC call to selected AIS targets from the AIS screen, even if the vessel is too far away to see the vessel’s name. The IC-M510 EVO can offer the same functionality when combined with the Icom MA-510TR.
25 W Two-Way Hailer, 20 W RX Hailer and Automatic Foghorn
With the optional SP-37 or other compatible speaker/horn, you can communicate with the crew on the deck or shore from the radio's microphone and hear any reply via the speaker horn. The RX hailer function enables you to keep watch of the radio traffic on the deck or tower through the hailer speaker. You can also activate automatic foghorn patterns from the hailer speaker. In addition, the built-in waterproof speaker enhances the received audio and provides powerful, clear audio.
Built-in Class D DSC and Distress Button
With the built-in DSC (Digital Selective Calling) system, by simply pressing the Distress Button, a digital distress message is transmitted and can be received by both the Coast Guard and/or other vessels. The DSC watch function continuously monitors the DSC channel (Ch. 70) for added safety and security.
Wide Viewing Angle Colour TFT LCD
The colour TFT LCD provides nearly a 180-degree viewing angle. The wide display has high-resolution characters and function icons. Night mode is activated by simply holding down the DISP key ensuring good readability in low light conditions.
