Icom IC-M410BB Black Box VHF Radio
The Icom IC-M410BB black box marine radio allows the installation of a full featured multi station marine VHF in areas where space is limited or where a traditional fixed mount VHF is not suitable such as twin helm stations on modern sailing boats. Up to two stations can be installed with the IC-M410BB with all operations, including DSC, made from the CommandMic and with the black box unit installed out-of-sight. When not in use the CommandMic can simply be unplugged and stowed away.
Space Saving Design and Two Stations with Intercom
The IC-M410BB is supplied with a single CommandMic, but an optional second CommandMic can be installed almost anywhere on board. All operations, including DSC, can be made from the HM-195GB and two stations can also be used as an intercom. The CommandMic can be installed up to 18 metres (optional extension cable required) from the Black Box unit allowing installation in the best location even in areas with limited space.
Built-in Class D DSC and Distress Button
With the built-in DSC (Digital Selective Calling) system, by simply pressing the Distress Button, a digital distress message is transmitted and can be received by both the Coast Guard and/or other vessels. The DSC watch function continuously monitors the DSC channel (Ch. 70) for added safety and security.
Built-in NMEA 2000 & NMEA0183HS
The NMEA 2000 network provides plug-and-play data communication to inter-connect with other marine equipment such as an MFD (Multi-Function Display.) The radio can send GNSS (GPS) position, DSC call, and radio channel data to other equipment.
Active Noise Cancelling Technology
The Active Noise Cancelling technology digitally removes background noise from both transmitted and received audio, providing clear communication in a noisy maritime environment.
Loud RX Hailer/Foghorn
A built-in 13 W amplifier increases the audio output to an external hailer speaker (not included). The RX hailer function enables you to keep watch of radio traffic on the deck or tower through the hailer speaker. You can also sound foghorn patterns from the hailer speaker.
