Blue Wave Apex Stainless Steel UNF Toggle Rigging Screw
An innovative new design for rigging screws, combing the ultimate corrosion resistance of 316 stainless steel with the reliability of bronze threads which eliminates seizing or galling, ensuring many years of reliable service even when under high loads in harsh marine environments.
The new Apex rigging screws (turnbuckles) feature an open body design, machined from solid high specification 316 stainless steel for outstanding corrosion resistance, no pitting or flaking as found with chromed bronze and no chance of damage to the chrome finish when tensioning.
Threaded bronze inserts are permanently inserted into the ends preventing seizing or galling typical with stainless steel threads when under high load, allowing consistent, smooth operation.
The sleek, open body design allows easy inspection, and the flat middle section allows easy adjustment with a spanner without damage to the surface. The toggle normally fitted to the chain plate allows movement both fore and aft as well as side to side completely avoiding the chance of work hardening.
As with all Blue Wave rigging scews, the Apex range feature laser engraved thread size, Blue Wave logo, and end marking of the left thread.
Apex rigging screws are the exact same length as the bronze models allowing easy upgrade.
